Delivery charges
================

Shipping costs can be managed across all customers in PunchCommerce via the ‘Shipping Costs’ menu item. This can be found within the ‘Customers’ menu.

The overview page lists all shipping methods that have already been created, along with the following information:

- Name of the shipping method
- Price (net)
- Threshold (net)

Shipping costs are displayed to the customer as a separate item in the shopping basket during the checkout process. This item cannot be removed manually by the customer.

Creating new shipping costs
---------------------------

New shipping methods can be created using the ‘Create shipping costs’ button.

The following details can be defined in the corresponding form:

**Name of the shipping method**

The name is used to identify the shipping method and does not need to be unique. It is possible to create multiple shipping charges with the same name.

**Price (net)**

This value defines the amount of the shipping charges added to the customer’s shopping basket.

**Threshold (net)**

The threshold sets the maximum shopping basket value up to which the delivery charges are calculated. If this value is exceeded, the delivery charges are automatically removed from the shopping basket.

Assigning shipping costs to a customer
--------------------------------------

In the settings for a Hosted Catalogue customer, under ‘Basic settings’ in the ‘Shipping costs’ section, a previously created shipping cost can be selected and assigned to the customer. A maximum of one shipping method can be assigned to a customer.

Deleting and editing shipping costs
-----------------------------------

Shipping methods can be permanently removed via the overview page by clicking the ‘Delete’ button.

All shipping cost details can be edited via the ‘Edit’ button on the overview page.
