Setting up PunchOut in SAP Ariba®
=================================

This document describes how to set up the supplier catalogue for a cXML PunchOut using an Ariba test account. First, log in to  using your test account. You can recognise test mode by the red notice in the top navigation bar of the Ariba interface.

Step 1: Creating a PunchOut configuration in Ariba®
---------------------------------------------------

Go to the ‘Catalogues’ menu item and then to the ‘PunchOut Configuration’ menu item in the Ariba interface. Here, configure the “Level 1 Index File Template” and the default PunchOut configuration in accordance with our specifications, as shown in the two screenshots below.

**Note on the index template:** You can leave the “Map” and “Overview” fields blank. **Note on the PunchOut configuration**

Step 2: Create a catalogue for cXML PunchOut in Ariba®
------------------------------------------------------

Open the ‘Catalogues’ menu item and create a new PunchOut catalogue. For the initial test, tick the ‘PunchOut Level 1’ checkbox and enter a name for the catalogue. On the second tab of the catalogue setup, enter a part number and a catalogue code – for an initial test, any random values will suffice. Please agree the final values with your customer. Select ‘Private’ mode and choose a customer for whom you wish to publish the test catalogue. You can then save the catalogue and complete the setup.

Step 3: Test access to the PunchOut catalogue from Ariba®
---------------------------------------------------------

In the list of catalogues, select the catalogue you created in the previous step and click on the ‘Test catalogue’ menu item. In the next step, click the “Shop” button – the system will now log you into PunchCommerce and you will see the parts catalogue you created in our system.

Step 4: Transferring the shopping basket to Ariba®
--------------------------------------------------

Fill the shopping basket in PunchCommerce and then click on ‘Transfer shopping basket’ in PunchCommerce. In the final step, you will see the result of the successfully tested PunchOut in the Ariba interface.
